🌾 Celebrating National Agriculture Day
On National Agriculture Day, we honor the farmers who feed our families, fuel our economy, and steward our land. As a fifth-generation farmer from a family that has worked Minnesota soil since 1886, agriculture isn’t just a policy issue for me — it’s my life.
Minnesota’s family farmers are facing unprecedented challenges: rising input costs, falling commodity prices, corporate consolidation, and climate uncertainty. Small and mid-size operations are being squeezed out while multinational ag corporations consolidate power.
Ben’s Agricultural Platform:
- Break up agricultural monopolies that suppress farmer bargaining power
- Support beginning farmers with access to land, credit, and mentorship programs
- Invest in rural infrastructure — broadband, roads, and healthcare access
- Protect Minnesota’s water and soil through sustainable farming incentives
- Ensure fair prices for the crops and livestock our farmers produce
The “F” in DFL stands for FARMER. Let’s make sure our legislature remembers that.
